Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have reportedly separated after three decades of being together, according to Spanish media.
The Manchester City manager, aged 53, and Serra, a Brazilian journalist, married in a private ceremony near Barcelona in 2014, but have now decided to part ways. The couple first met in 1994 and have three children: Maria, 24; Marius, 22; and Valentina, 17.
Though living apart for more than five years, after Serra moved back to Barcelona with their daughter while Guardiola stayed in Manchester, they maintained a relationship and were regularly spotted together. Reports state that their decision to separate was made in December 2024, with only close friends and family aware of the situation.

The couple’s bond remained strong despite the distance, with Serra attending Manchester City’s Champions League final victory over Inter Milan in June 2023 and Wimbledon in July the same year to support Guardiola.
Guardiola has often spoken highly of his wife, praising her for her fashion sense and offering public compliments. Serra left Manchester in 2019 to help manage the fashion company owned by her family, Serra Claret, which sells several brands associated with the City manager’s wardrobe.
Having met while Guardiola was modelling for designer Antonio Miro in Barcelona, the couple navigated long-distance early in their relationship. They later relocated to Germany when Guardiola managed Bayern Munich.
Reports suggest that despite the separation, their relationship remains cordial and friendly.
