The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 121 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The development brings the total number of recorded cases in the country so far to 162,762.
The health agency made the announcement on Tuesday night while giving a daily report via its official website.
NCDC also said about 7 patients died of the COVID-19 complications in the last 24 hours, bringing the total fatalities so far to 2,056.
The agency further stated that no fewer than 1,066 patients were newly discharged after testing negative for the virus twice.
