#APCPresidential Primaries: Osinbajo refuses pressure to step down for Tinubu

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has refused to withdraw from the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The VP has been under several pressures to step down for the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Former Gov. Godswill Akpabio, Gov. Kayode Fayemi and former Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker of the House of Representative, Mr Dimeji Bankole, had earlier withdrawn from the race, urging their supporters to vote for Tinubu

Sen. Ajayi Boroffice (APC-Ondo), Gov. Mohammed Badaru of Jigawa and the only female aspirant, Ms Uju Ohanenye, also did same.

However,the youngest aspirant in the race, Nicholas Felix, stepped down for Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

All the 23 aspirants, except former Minsiter of state for education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, addressed the delegates.

Voting will commence after the speech of the president.
