Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota has tragically died in a car accident in Spain at the age of 28, according to reports from Portuguese media.
It is understood that Jota was travelling with his brother, André — also a professional footballer aged 26 — when their vehicle left the road.
The accident occurred on the A-52 motorway in the province of Zamora.
The heartbreaking news comes just two weeks after Jota married his long-term partner, Rute Cardoso, in a ceremony held in Porto.
