Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari has disclosed that the President Muhammadu Buhari has assisted Katsina state with N6.25 billion for ranch development in the state.
He made the disclosure on Thursday in Zobe, Safana Local Government Area of the state during the commissioning of the Zobe Regional water scheme.

Masari explained that the President had already made available five billion naira (N5 billion) out of the amount for the ranch project.
The Governor revealed, “Mr. President has graciously approved the sum of N6.25 billion for ranch development purposes in Katsina State. Part of this amount, N5 billion is already in the account of the state government and within few weeks, you will see advertisements calling for interested companies and consultants that would wish to participate.”
Masari explained that the Zobe Regional water scheme was part of the MoU the Federal Government signed with the State in October 2017 to boost water supply and address water scarcity.
He clarified that the Federal Government had fulfilled its part of the agreement signed for the project “for the cost of over N22 billion.”
Meanwhile, the President who commissioned the regional water scheme, returned to his hometown, Daura, on Thursday where he would celebrate the Eid-El Kabir slated for Tuesday.
He is also expected to commission another project in the home town on Monday
