COVID-19: Nigeria’s 1,585 patients recover as active cases drop

Active cases of coronavirus, COVID-19 in the country have dropped to 7,700 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, confirmed the recovery and discharge of 1,585 patients.

This brings the total number of recovery since the outbreak in Nigeria to 153,630.

The health agency made the announcement on Tuesday night while giving reports on new cases via it’s official website.

NCDC has also confirmed 58 new cases of the virus in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The development brings the total number of recorded infections in the country to 163,388.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 2,058 patients have died of COVID-19 communications since February 2020.
