Founder and President, Love for All Nations Minister, Yinka Yusuf, has called out President Muhammadu Buhari for referring to Jesus Christ as a prophet.
Recall that Buhari had, while reacting to the killing of Deborah Samuel who was murdered over an alleged blasphemous comment against Prophet Mohammed in Sokoto State, said “Muslims all over the world demand respect for the Holy Prophets, including Isah (Alaihissalaam, Jesus Christ) and Muhammad (SAW)”.
Reacting, Yinka, a popular gospel preacher, tackled the president for referring to Jesus Chris as a prophet, describing the comment as blasphemy.
In a post on his official Facebook page, the clergy argued that Jesus is too big to be called a prophet, saying Jesus is the message not the messenger like prophets.
He said, “I was listening to the television two days ago and our dear president, President Buhari said something. He said that our religion respects and believes in all prophets, even Jesus Christ.
“That is blaspheming. Calling Jesus Christ a prophet is blaspheming. Because Jesus is not a prophet…but that’s the problem with religion.
“Jesus from the day he was on earth till today, people are still calling him who he is not.
“Jesus is not a prophet, he is too big to be a prophet. Never once did he call himself a prophet, it was the Jews that called him a prophet. A prophet is not a messenger. Jesus is not a messenger but the message. How can the Message become a messenger?”
