Manchester United insider, Neil Custis, has criticised Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese left Old Trafford at half-time during their pre-season friendly game against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
Custis believes Ronaldo set a bad example with his decision to leave Old Trafford before the end of the match.
Ronaldo left Old Trafford at half-time of their friendly with Rayo Vallecano but Manchester United have come out to say there was no problem with his action.
The Portugal captain, who has reportedly declared his intention to leave Old Trafford this summer in search of Champions League football this season, played his first pre-season appearance on Sunday.
But, after having 45 minutes, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was then substituted for young forward Amad Diallo and the superstar did not wait for the game to finish.
“It is not a good look to leave early when you have been involved in the squad.
“It is different if you are up in the stands and not involved. You would expect someone who has played in the game to be in the changing rooms at the end to listen to the manager’s thoughts.
“Also a lot of people were there to see him and he was not even involved in the clapping of the fans after the final whistle,” Cutis told SunSport
