The Chairman and CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has confirmed the detention and torture of Nigerians and other African students who had fled war-torn Ukraine for safety in neighbouring Poland.
Dabiri-Erewa in a tweet on Friday faulted some Nigerians who stayed back and are now being kept in tortuous detention centers in Poland.
She said they were warned of the consequences and there is no extra expenditure.
She condemned the Polish government for detaining Nigerians and other African students who had fled war-torn Ukraine for safety in neighbouring Poland
She however pointed that the right thing for the country to do is deport them than keep them in detention centers.
