Gov. Abba Yusuf Approves Key Appointments in Kano

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved several key appointments and reassignments to strengthen governance and improve public service delivery in the state.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, on Tuesday, the appointments include Jamila Magaji-Abdullahi as the new Accountant General of the state.

Other appointments and changes include:

Governor Yusuf also established a strategic committee to revive the Kano State Transport Authority (Kano Line), chaired by Sa’idu Abdullahi-Shu’aibu. The committee will review and manage the operations of Kano Line for the next six months. Other members of the committee include Bello Abdul from the Ministry of Public Procurement, Abdullahi Tukur from the Ministry of Works and Housing, and Badamasi Suleiman, with Kabiru Habibu Kyauta from Special Duties serving as Secretary.

Dawakin-Tofa quoted Governor Yusuf as urging the new appointees to work tirelessly, focusing on innovation, dedication, and accountability in their roles.

He added that these appointments and initiatives reflect the administration’s commitment to fostering development, enhancing public service, and positioning Kano State as a model of effective governance.
