In a major breakthrough, the Federal Government has secured the release of 100 pupils kidnapped from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.
The development comes nearly two weeks after gunmen invaded the remote community at 2 am on November 21, riding on motorbikes and operating unchecked for close to three hours.

As at press time, federal authorities have not yet issued an official statement, but security sources say efforts are ongoing to secure the freedom of the remaining hostages.
