Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina has emerged as a potential target for Manchester City as the Premier League champions look for a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
The 28-year-old Nigerian international has been a standout performer for Forest this season, establishing himself as a consistent presence in the Premier League. Forest secured his services on a free transfer after he was released by Italian side Torino last year.
With Aina’s contract set to expire at the end of this season, Forest are keen to tie him down to a new deal as soon as possible. However, the full-back, who began his career in Chelsea’s academy, has not expressed any desire to leave and remains a fan favourite at the City Ground.

Despite his contentment at Forest, Aina may find it difficult to resist interest from Manchester City. His versatility, with the ability to play on both flanks, makes him an appealing option for Pep Guardiola’s system.
Kyle Walker, who has been a key player for City for the past seven years, has shown signs of age at 34, prompting the club to seek fresh alternatives.
In addition to Aina, Guardiola’s attention is also reportedly focused on Brighton’s talented young midfielder, Carlos Baleba. The 20-year-old, who joined Brighton from Lille for £23 million last season, is quickly gaining admirers. However, with a contract running until 2028, he is likely to come with a hefty price tag.
In another potential move, Manchester City are reportedly open to offers for goalkeeper Ederson, with a £25 million price tag expected should he decide to leave at the end of the season.
