Ebira community in Ondo State have been urged by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to flush out criminals among them.

Akeredolu contends that for the state to be free of crime, the Ebiras and the government must work together.

The governor urged the Ebira people not to stray from the farming industry, pointing out that they had coexisted with the natives of the State for too long.

The Governor spoke on Saturday at a meeting with the leaders of the Ebira Community, who were headed by the Odeyani Anabira, Zubair Dan Musa, and Alhaji Chief Abdulazeez Majeobaje Akure, State Chairman of Egbira, in the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Alagbaka, Akure.

Shortly after the meeting held behind closed doors, Akeredolu spoke to the media and explained that it was in response to the recent developments surrounding the June 5 attack in Owo and other kidnapping incidents in the state.
