Some members of the opposition minority caucus and others led by the Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu staged a walkout over Clause 52 of the electoral act.

He argued that, they will not sit and watched as their concerns on the matter is being ignored by the leadership of the House.
However, the remaining lawmakers, majorly of the All Progressives Congress, APC, went ahead to pass the bill. They also passed the controversial PIB, allocating 3% to host communities.
