This announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, the Presidential Spokesman, in a statement issued on Friday.
According to the statement, President Tinubu received an invitation to attend the summit from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The summit will take place in Abu Dhabi from January 12 to 18.

“The event, ‘The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,’ will allow policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives to explore pathways to fast-track the transformation to a sustainable economy and create a new era of prosperity for all.”
ADSW, which has been held annually for over 15 years, provides a global platform for fostering multi-stakeholder cooperation to address global challenges and accelerate growth. It has resulted in significant agreements and strategic partnerships between governments, industry leaders, and clean energy innovators worldwide, advancing the sustainability agenda globally.
Onanuga further added that President Tinubu will use the summit as a platform to emphasise his administration’s reforms, particularly those focused on energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development.
The Nigerian leader and his entourage will also meet with the leadership of the United Arab Emirates to discuss issues of mutual interest to both nations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, along with other senior government officials, will accompany President Tinubu on the trip.
“He will return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16,” Onanuga confirmed.
