Luis Enrique, Manager of Paris St Germain, remains optimistic despite a 2-3 home loss to FC Barcelona in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

He believes PSG can shine against the Spanish side in the upcoming match to advance.

Reflecting on the narrow defeat, Enrique expressed, “It is clear that all defeats hurt and annoy, but I believe we played a good game against a very strong team.” He emphasized the need to rectify shortcomings while acknowledging the significance of such a high-stakes match.

Heading into the return leg, Enrique expressed confidence in his team’s ability, stating, “We’re going to Barcelona with a lot of desire. It’s a positive point of view to think that we can win there. It’s going to be a final for us. I’m confident in my team.”

When asked about Kylian Mbappe’s performance, Enrique declined to comment, focusing instead on the team’s overall strategy. He stressed that PSG is prepared to fight hard in Barcelona, refusing to consider the opposition as favorites.

Enrique remained resolute, saying, “I never see the opposition as favorites, whoever they are. In top-level competition, that’s how I see it. And I will continue to believe that we will go to Barcelona to win the game.”
