The Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry in Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso, has called on Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, to resign due to his failure to provide a lasting solution to the escalating destruction of lives and property in the state.
In his 2025 New Year Message delivered yesterday, Obimma described the state of security in Anambra as appalling, emphasising that the current situation was far from the Dubai-Taiwan Model City Development the governor had promised during his election campaign.
The passionate Catholic priest stressed that immediate action is needed to address the dire circumstances in the state, where lives are being lost on a daily basis.

He stated, “Insecurity in Anambra State is unbearable, and our governor must step up. He cannot continue to expose the people to danger. As the chief security officer of the state, urgent measures must be implemented, as lives are being lost every day. I can no longer remain silent. Heaven is not happy. The Holy Spirit is not happy.” He further suggested that the governor’s resignation would allow his successor to directly confront the issue of insecurity in the state.
The cleric also urged prominent individuals in Anambra to take responsibility and reclaim the state from criminal elements, rather than waiting for the government. He recommended convening a security summit to devise lasting solutions to the ongoing crises.
