Nigerians on social media have reacted to the resignation of Peter Obi as member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential.
TheLedng had reported that Obi had on Wednesday announced his resignation from the opposition party.
Obi revealed that recent developments within the party made it practically impossible to continue participating and making constructive contributions.
Here are some comments curated by Theleadng:
Peter Obi leaving the PDP is the best news I’ve heard in months. Whether Labour Party or NNPP, I don’t care!
Even if he joins Jollof Rice Party, I’ll vote him.
PDP should share their stolen Dollars & bid farewell to the presidency.

Sir @PeterObis strategy was so well thought of and articulated… Using the PDP platform he toured Nigeria with his message. A message that resonated with Millions and grew his popularity, now he has a firm base and structure, now he moves to become the opposition…Genius!

You say Peter’s exit is the end of the PDP?
Peter was not in PDP in 1999. PDP won
Peter was not in PDP in 2003. PDP won
Peter was not in PDP in 2007. PDP won
Peter was not in PDP in 2011. PDP wonThe only times PDP lost were 2015 and 2019 when Peter was in PDP#TableShaker

So the PDP just forced the most popular leader of their party out? Congratulations to them. As I’ve always said, very unserious people.

With Peter Obi dumping the PDP is a clear sign that the 2023 Presidential election is not all about the political party. It’s about the individual. We are voting for Peter Obi as an individual because of his pedigree hence any party he joins we are voting for such party.

If Peter Obi runs against JUST Saraki in the PDP Primaries, Saraki will win.
If PO runs against just Wike, Wike will win. If he runs against Tambuwal, Tambuwal will win. If he runs against his master Atiku,it is obvious.
If he runs against Udom, Udom will win. It is written

Whether by zoning or competence, Peter Obi is the most qualified of the PDP’s candidates….
They say he cannot win the North. Well, that’s why Atiku, Wike & co should put their resources behind him…
Afterall, the party did the same for Atiku, GEJ, Yaradua & OBJ…
