The Portuguese side finished runners-up in their group behind Barcelona, level on points with the Catalan club having won four and drawn two of their group games.
It is the fourth time Arsenal have drawn against Porto in the competition. In 2006/07, the Gunners won 2-0 at home before drawing 0-0 away, while in 2008/09, they were victorious by a 4-0 scoreline before losing 2-0 away from home.
Those ties were in the group stage, and the last time both teams locked horns was in the round of 16 the following season, when Arsenal overturned a 2-1 loss in the first leg with an emphatic 5-0 win at Emirates Stadium to advance.
The round of 16 will be played over four weeks in the spring. The first legs will be February 13-14 or February 20-21 2024, while the return fixtures will be on either March 5-6 or March 12-13.
As a seeded team, Arsenal will host the second leg at Emirates Stadium after travelling to the Estadio do Dragao.
