An emerging Online Platform is looking for suitable candidates to join the team in the following capacities

1. Content Editor

Who will be tasked with the responsibility of providing strong editorial leadership for the team, ensuring that output conforms to Editorial Guidelines and meets audience needs.
Success in this position will be demonstrated by producing, commissioning and approving compelling contents that improve readership and engagement.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
Research, proofread, and publish compelling stories, including Breaking News and Exclusives on the website.

Analyze readership data and develop content strategies to increase user engagement.

Proofread and edit the work of content writers

Ensure the team’s tasks are completed in a timely manner

Fact check and verify information and research

Contribute new ideas for future publications

Monitor user engagement, web traffic, and other KPIs

Ensure that the team produces at least two big stories per day

Explore potentials for expansion through creative programming and partnerships with relevant stakeholders

Provide support and guidance to the team and identify opportunities for growth

Job Requirements
Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Content Editor, or similar position

Hands-on experience with Content Management System and publishing tools

Excellent writing and proofreading skills

Strong communication skills

Knowledgeable about various social media platforms and SEO

Team player and Highly organized

Ability to work remotely and with little supervision
2. Social Media Manager
Who will be tasked with the responsibility of developing strategies to increase followers, creating and overseeing social campaigns, producing content, reviewing analytics, and communicating with key stakeholders in the company.Success in this position will be demonstrated by producing engaging posts and improving the company’s profile on all active social platforms by increasing the number of followers and the amount of engagement (likes, comments, shares)

Job Responsibilities and Duties
A knack for storytelling, a keen eye for design, and an ability to analyze what does well with an audience—and what doesn’t.

Increasing followers and driving engagement

Strategizing content and campaigns by generating ideas for timely and evergreen content or repurpose user-generated content.

Analyzing data to draw conclusions about how the company’s posts and content are performing

Reporting metrics to key stakeholders

Posting and monitoring social media platforms

Job Requirements

Ability to write compelling stories from social media

The maturity to serve as ‘the voice of the company’

An understanding of social media platforms

An eye for design

An understanding of social media’s analytical tools

Ability to think on your feet and incorporate novelty into your work via trending hashtags, algorithms

Staying on top of the news and the bigger conversations happening online and joining such conversations meaningfully

Ability to work remotely and with little supervision
