Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has said that she is not interested in being an appointee of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.
TheLead reports that speaking recently at the Leadership retreat of the Labour Party in Abuja, Yesufu stated that she will continue to continue to hold Nigerian leaders accountable.
“I will say it here categorically. I am not interested in any position. I am not going to work for you. I will hold you accountable so that you will give Nigeria the best that Nigeria deserves,” she said.
The activist had since been showing her support for Obi’s candidacy in respect of the 2023 presidential election.
Also speaking at the retreat, Obi said that Nigerians are used to hearing excuses from their elected leaders, but he has chosen to be different as the job of a leader is to solve problems and not to give excuses.
