Two countries have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
They are: Zambia and hosts Morocco.
For the Copper Queens, they needed a penalty shoot-out to see off Senegal. The game had ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Reynald Pedros’ ladies beat Botswana 2-1 in the second quarter-final clash played on Wednesday night.
Both teams have also qualified to represent Africa at the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
On Thursday, Nigeria take on Cameroon and South Africa clash with Tunisia in the other quarter-final ties.
