Anthony Chiejina has done it again.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group has been named to the prestigious 2025 Global Influence 100, cementing his position as one of the most powerful corporate communications leaders in the world and the only Nigerian on this year’s list.
The latest recognition places Chiejina among an elite circle of global in house communications executives whose influence shapes boardroom decisions, corporate reputation and public trust at the highest level. His appearance on the list for five straight years from 2021 to 2025 is a rare distinction that speaks not just to visibility, but to sustained relevance in an era where communications has become a core leadership function.
Published annually by PRovoke Media and now in its 13th year, the Influence 100 ranks the most impactful senior leaders in corporate communications, corporate affairs and marketing worldwide. The list reflects a rapidly shifting global environment defined by geopolitical uncertainty, technological disruption, regulatory pressure and rising expectations around transparency and accountability.

According to PRovoke Media, this year’s honourees are leaders who demonstrate strategic clarity, cultural intelligence and the ability to guide complex organisations through constant scrutiny and change. Selection is conducted by the publication’s senior editorial team, drawing on proprietary research and external nominations, and assessed against seniority, global reach, influence over budgets and agency relationships, as well as thought leadership and contribution to the profession.
Chiejina’s continued presence on the list reflects his central role in shaping the global reputation of Dangote Group, Africa’s largest industrial conglomerate. For more than 15 years, he has overseen corporate communications across the group’s vast portfolio spanning cement, agriculture, energy, manufacturing and consumer goods.
Under his stewardship, Dangote has evolved into one of Africa’s most recognisable and respected corporate brands, navigating complex regulatory environments, major industrial expansions and heightened international attention, particularly as the group deepens its footprint across the continent and advances energy security and sustainability initiatives.
“As group head of corporate communications, he oversees external and internal reputation across multiple sectors and has helped steer the brand’s continued recognition as the most admired indigenous company on the continent,” PRovoke Media noted in its citation.
Before joining Dangote Group, Chiejina built a diverse career across banking, manufacturing and media, with senior roles at Zenith Bank, Oceanic Bank, Seven Up Bottling Company, African Economic Digest and African Concord. That breadth of experience has given him rare insight into Nigeria’s political economy, financial markets and media landscape, perspective that continues to shape Dangote Group’s engagement with stakeholders at home and abroad.
Beyond personal achievement, Chiejina’s sustained recognition underscores the growing visibility of African corporate leadership in global reputation management. As communications increasingly defines how organisations lead, manage risk and earn trust, his presence on the Influence 100 reinforces Nigeria’s place in the global conversation shaping the future of the profession.

In total, executives from 20 countries made the list. Gender representation remains strong, with women accounting for 58 percent of honourees, while the class of 2025 is also the most academically accomplished to date, with more than half holding advanced degrees.
Five years on, Anthony Chiejina’s name remains firmly etched on one of the most important global rankings in corporate communications, a testament to consistency, strategic depth and Nigeria’s capacity to produce leaders who shape global narratives from the very centre of power.
