The Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned two fake aides of former First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
The anti-graft agency in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, said Goni Muhammad and Seidu Seriki Haman were dragged before Justice Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, sitting in Maiduguri over their alleged criminal activities.
“They were arraigned on Monday, May 16, 2022 on two- count charges bordering on conspiracy and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N26, 492,000 (Twenty Six Million, Four Hundred and Ninety Two Thousand Naira).
” The defendants allegedly conspired and obtained the above mentioned sum, under the guise of selling two grams of gold belonging to a former First Lady, Patience Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to a buyer,” EFCC said.
