The General Secretary, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) World Wide, Pastor Emmanuel Mapur, has said that Nigerians cannot continue living in a war like routine, thus the Federal Government must act proactively to restore peace and keep Nigerians safe.

Mapur gave the charge on Sunday in Abuja Nigeria at the Induction Service of Pastor Osita Chukwuezie, as the second Regional Superintendent of CAC, Abuja.

According to him, the insecurity situation in the country was worrisome and required urgent attention.

”We cannot continue living as if we are fighting a war everyday, let our government come out and show themselves that they are there as government.

“The government at all levels must listen to the youth because they can do many things. So they should listen to the youth and try to meet them at the point of need.

”Listen to their complaint, government should try and do what they can to help the youth to develop,” he said.

Mapur urged the Federal Government to take urgent steps towards addressing increasing cases of killings, kidnappings and other crimes in the country.

He also urged Nigerians irrespective of political, religious and ethnic differences to come together and support the government in moving the country forward

Responding, the newly inducted cleric, Pastor Osita Chukwuezie, urged Nigerians to trust in God, remain courageous and be strong in the face of the current challenges in the country.

Chukwuezie stressed that this was the time to run to God, noting that there was nothing too difficult for God to do and that no matter the situation God is able and ever ready to turn it around for the best.

He said, “Nigeria is a country with great destiny and before long it will manifest. It is time to renew our spirit, it a time to trust and believe in God.”
