As the 2023 election approaches, Peter Obi, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) presidential aspirant, has won a poll conducted by Reno Omokri, a former media aide to Nigerian ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan.
The online poll on Monday night where 9,408 people voted, Obi beat Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu; and Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, to emerge overall winner.
The former Anambra State Governor garnered 75.2%, with his closest challenger, Osinbajo, polling 16.2%. Tinubu had 7.3%, and Lawan came last with 1.3%.
It is not the first Obi would win an online poll conducted by diaspora-based Omokri. About 11 months ago, Obi won a 2023 presidential election in an online survey administered by the former presidential aide.
Obi was the Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, and has a cult following online.
