The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rescheduled its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting from May 5 to May 10.

Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s National Secretary, made the announcement on Monday night in Abuja.

He stated that the earlier date interfered with the local government delegate elections, which involved all party members, and that he apologized for any inconvenience.

Anyanwu stated that the meeting will take place in the National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

Similarly, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) moved the screening appeal for all governorship and presidential candidates from Tuesday, May 3 to Wednesday, May 4.

In a separate statement published in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, the party said that the adjustment in date was occasioned by the Eid-Fitir celebration.

“The NWC apologises for any inconveniences this change in date might have caused,” Ologunagba said.
