Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested a suspected dealer of methylene chloride, the dangerous chemical commonly known on the streets as “Suck and Die,” during a security operation in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The suspect, identified as Sani Adamu, 30, was apprehended during a coordinated raid by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) aimed at flushing out criminal elements and strengthening security across Hong metropolis.
Security sources said the operation, carried out on July 13, led troops to Hong Market, where Adamu was arrested in possession of a four-litre empty container allegedly used to store and distribute methylene chloride.
Following his arrest, the suspect was handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Hong Command, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by Operation HADIN KAI to deny criminal elements freedom of operation while supporting law enforcement agencies in tackling the growing circulation of dangerous substances linked to substance abuse and crime.
