One of the top associates of the President, Faruk Aliyu, on Wednesday, reportedly escaped death by a whisker after an attack on his house in Kano State.

The assailants were said to have attacked the residence of the All Progressives Congress chieftain, who was also a former member of the Federal House of Representatives in Kano.

Reports reveal that the gunmen forcefully entered the house and tied up the security guards, but could not reach Aliyu’s family.

He said, “Faruk’s family was saved by the arrival of a detachment of officers drafted by the CP Samaila Doki.”

His wife, Hajiya Zuwaira Aliyu, also confirmed that their house was attacked on Wednesday night by gunmen suspected to be assassins.
