After his death, other bandits demanded that the community must provide Sabira and her mother, pay N30 million, or risk being attacked.

Also, in the absence of Samira, the bandits were said to have abducted her grandmother and one Aliyu who was identified as her son.

Residents fled the village after they got an hint that the leader of the bandit, one Mai Lore, would raid the community and kill everyone.

Since January, sustained airstrikes on terrorists’ enclaves in the Northwest by NAF aircrafts have killed high-profile terrorists’ leaders and their foot soldiers in Katsina State.

Authorities insist that strikes against terrorist elements will continue for as long as they continue to pose threats to peace-loving Nigerians.
