The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba, has assured Nigerians of his readiness to put officers on their toes to ensure public safety in the country.
The IGP made the assertion on Saturday while assessing the deployment of personnel along Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Expressway and Abua-Jere-Kaduna road in company of senior officers including the AIG in charge of Federal Operations, FHQ, Abuja, AIG Bala Ciroma, among others.
A statement signed by Acting Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi in Abuja, the IGP’s latest move was in furtherance of his zeal to ensure the sustainability of the security arrangements along the routes and within the axis.
The statement revealed that such supervisory moves would be extended to other parts of the country as soon as possible.
