Man rapes 17-year-old girl to death in Nasarawa-Eggon

Bako Anjeh, a 36-year-old man from Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl to death.

Anjeh was accused of forcing the woman to drink phenol, a chemical intended to kill grasses, before having any knowledge of her.

ASP Ramhan Nansel, the State Command’s police spokeswoman, confirmed that the suspect was apprehended by Command personnel.

“A complaint was brought before Akwanga Area Command by one Dimka Sarki that his daughter was lured by one Bako Anjeh to his room with the intention to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her,” the spokesman explained.

He went on to explain that when she refused, he made the victim drink gramoxone, a chemical used to kill grasses, and that after drinking it, the victim got weak and he had carnal knowledge of her.

ASP Ramhan Nansel went on to say that after receiving the report, police officers rushed to the area and apprehended the culprit.

The woman was rushed to Ola Hospital in Akwanga Local Government Area, where her statements were collected before she died and her corpse was put for post-mortem, according to the spokesman.
