The National Emergency Management Agency has confirmed the death of eight persons after a three-storey building collapsed in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
According to the agency, no fewer than 23 persons including children have been rescued alive.
Emergency agencies including the NEMA, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, among others are currently at the scene of the incident for search and rescue operations for the victims.
