Ramadan : Hisbah arrests 11 for eating at noon in Kano

Hisbah in Kano State arrested 11 citizens on Thursday for not observing the Ramadan fast.

Three men and eight women were arrested for eating in the afternoon in the state while others were fasting.

“The Chairman of the Board, Dr. Aliyu Musa Kibiya said they were investigating those who were not fasting to find out their motives,” the BBC reported.

Ramadan, an annual religious exercise, is mandatory for Muslims adults.
