Nominations for 2021 Golden Globe Awards, celebrating the best in television and film, were announced on Wednesday.

Chadwick Boseman, who died at the age of 43, after a private battle with colon cancer, received a posthumous nomination for his role in the Netflix film “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

The 2021 nominees are a mix of old and new faces, with Netflix leading in both television and film nominations, including the drama “Mank,” which led with six nominations.

“The Trial of the Chicago 7” came second with five nominations.

Netflix’s royal drama “The Crown” led the television category with six nominations, followed by the 2020 award comedy “Schitt’s Creek,” with five.

Shows like “Bridgerton”, and Zendaya’s film, “I May Destroy You” did not receive any nominations despite its popularity with viewers.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the award show for a fourth time.

It is uncertain if The Golden Globes will hold virtually or otherwise but it is scheduled for Sunday, February 28th on NBC.
