President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), Aliko Dangote, has commended the Federal Government for implementing what he described as bold and transformative economic reforms, saying the measures are beginning to strengthen investor confidence and reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth.
Dangote said the ongoing fiscal, monetary and regulatory reforms had contributed to improving macroeconomic stability, raising productivity across key sectors and creating a more resilient environment for businesses and investors.
According to him, the emerging positive indicators from the reform programme underscore the importance of maintaining consistent and market driven policies to sustain Nigeria’s economic recovery.
“The economic reforms being implemented by the Federal Government are beginning to yield tangible results. We are witnessing improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity, and a more resilient business environment,” Dangote said.
“These measures are laying a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth and long term prosperity for Nigeria.”

The business leader said the reforms had created a more enabling operating environment, particularly for large scale manufacturing and industrial enterprises critical to economic diversification, job creation, foreign exchange generation and national competitiveness.
He said government initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, promoting investment, enhancing transparency and supporting domestic production were providing a framework for further industrial expansion.
Dangote acknowledged that economic reforms often come with initial challenges but said the benefits of the current policy direction were increasingly becoming evident through stronger economic indicators, improved business confidence and renewed investor interest.
“We commend the Federal Government for its courage and determination in implementing reforms that are essential for economic transformation,” he said.
“While every reform process comes with initial challenges, the benefits are increasingly evident in stronger economic indicators, improved business confidence, and renewed investor interest in Nigeria.”
He further linked the policy environment to the continued expansion and operation of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex, describing policies supporting local refining, reduced import dependence, energy security and domestic value addition as important to the facility’s development.
Dangote said the refinery’s progress demonstrated how sustained private sector investment, supported by an enabling policy environment, could contribute to broader national economic objectives.
“The progress being recorded at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex is closely linked to a policy environment that encourages investment, supports domestic industrialisation, and promotes self sufficiency,” he said.
“These reforms are helping Nigerian businesses to plan with greater certainty, invest with confidence, and compete effectively on the global stage.”
Dangote said the refinery’s rising production capacity and expanding export footprint were contributing to Nigeria’s economic recovery through foreign exchange earnings, employment creation, stronger local supply chains and increased domestic value addition.
He said the development was also helping to position Nigeria as a major energy and manufacturing hub.
Reaffirming Dangote Industries Limited’s commitment to the Federal Government’s economic agenda, he said the Group would continue to invest in strategic sectors, promote innovation and industrial development, and create sustainable employment opportunities.
“Our vision has always been to support Nigeria’s economic development through transformative investments,” Dangote said.
“Today, we are witnessing how the combination of private sector commitment and decisive government policies can unlock unprecedented opportunities for national growth.”

He said the refinery, petrochemical operations, fertiliser production and other industrial investments were helping to build a more self reliant and competitive Nigerian economy.
Dangote expressed confidence that sustained reforms, policy consistency and stronger collaboration between government and the private sector would attract more foreign direct investment and further strengthen Nigeria’s position as an investment destination.
“Nigeria is on the path to becoming one of the world’s leading industrial and economic powers,” he said.
“With continued policy consistency, robust private sector participation, and investment led growth, the future of our economy is exceptionally bright.”
